Despite its decrease compared to 2010, the BPM is in good health

The financial situation being experienced by Spain remains fragile, why 2011 will close with a growth in line with expectations, but below the figure obtained in 2010. Indeed, according to the latest figures in the Fourth Annual Study on the implementation of BPM technologies in Spain produced by the Club-BPM, last year the figure rose to 9%, while this year's BPM will grow only 6, 8%.
However, companies, despite the country's economic stagnation, are hoping for a recovery in the second half of 2012 and therefore are more open to investing in BPM solutions that allow them to be more competitive in a global world Thus, the BPM indicator of growth in 2012, if the economy begins to rebound as expected, growth is expected to reach between 7 and 10%.

Another positive aspect is that Spain is still the third country in Europe, located behind Germany and England, which is progressing well and steadily for several years in business and in government, in terms of automation and process management is concerned. Thus, the degree of implementation of BPM solutions, 39.6% of companies surveyed said to have some type of BPM solution, mainly analysis solutions, modeling and design of processes and BPM Workflow.Furthermore, 36% say having a project within the next 12 months.

ConfusionThe counterpoint puts the high degree of ignorance about the implications of business process management. The fundamental problem is that there is a perception that the acquired technology itself can automate business processes and solve business problems, but really, as the Club-BPM warning, just a set of pieces of software that does not include techniques, and implementation methodologies, knowledge management and cross-business processes from beginning to end and across all functional units of the company.
The report notes that training therefore becomes crucial to solve this problem. Thus, 87% of users consider it very important for the successful implementation in the enterprise BPM.
